Understanding Progress Reports

The progress report I sent home broke each page of the ELA tests into sub categories. For example, if a student got 3 multiple choice questions wrong on one page (say comprehension), but got all the other answers on the test correct, it would still show up as an "F" for for that sub strand (comprehension), on that week. The overall grade is what parents should focus on; as it is probable a student could have several low marks, but be operating above grade level. I included all grades so parents could see missing work (0s) or sub strands their child excels in or needs more practice in.

Sustainable Animal Farming
Clean baby food or pasta-sized jars with tight-fitting lids, heavy whipping cream, bread, strawberries
Bring in 5/24 or 5/25 for Wacky Wednesday

Wind Power
Supply requests: 30 pencils, 30 pushpins, straws with bendable arms, small bathroom-sized Dixie cups

Please help us find missing books!

A parent checked the following Serrano Elementary Library books out for us to use in our classroom during AR time. We are unable to find the below titles in our classroom. Please check at home and in your child's backpack for these books, so that I may avoid paying for them. Thank you for your help!

Wednesday- Nikki and the class are throwing me a Star Wars 30th Birthday Party! 10:00- 11:15. All are welcome! Students may dress in Star Wars gear- no masks or props, please

Thursday- Cinco de Mayo performance at 1 pm, class party to follow. We will finish pinatas during the party. This will be less messy, as it is just decorating. No smocks necessary.

Friday- Muffins for Moms, 7:15-7:45

Please bring in toilet paper and paper towel rolls by May 13th!
